KRiders

Removing obstacles for motorcycle adventurers exploring the hidden gems of Korea.

The Project

KRiders is an entry for a government-hosted contest of web/app services that utilize governmental tourist data. It is a mobile service specifically designed for foreign motorcycle tourists—the real "adventurers." Our mission is to remove practical obstacles unrelated to the riding experience itself, allowing riders to focus on the road and the scenery.

Core Innovations

Security

Privacy-First PKI

Data minimization using asymmetric key pairs and Verifiable Credentials (JWT). Socialize securely without disclosing unnecessary personal information.

Navigation

Auto-Translated Search

Integrated Kakao SDK with English-to-Korean search translation. Find and navigate to local spots that lack non-Korean documentation.

Community

Signed Course Sharing

Create and share digitally signed riding paths. Earn popularity points as other adventurers explore your recommended routes.

Hardware

Mesh Intercom

WiFi-based local voice chat. Connect with your group using existing Bluetooth headsets—no expensive Sena or Cardo hardware required.

Safety

Accident Detection

Collision monitoring and prolonged stop detection. Automatically signals emergency services if a rider is unable to respond.

Integrity

Signed Media

Group photos and riding records are digitally signed by members, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of your tour memories.

Technical Excellence

Built with a high-performance Go backend and PostgreSQL, KRiders leverages modern mobile technologies including Jetpack Compose (Android) and SwiftUI (iOS) to deliver a seamless, native experience.
